Has anyone joined Texas Teachers certification program?
I plan to begin the texas teachers program in the fall or winter. I was wondering if anyone has participated in the program or if anyone has started an internship with the program. I’m primarily looking for some insight.
I received my certification through Texas Teachers two years ago. Great program; I recommend it to anyone who wants to teach but doesn’t want to go back and get another degree in education. My first year teaching was on a probationary certificate and I was observed in the classroom by a retired principal working for Texas Teachers. I am still at the same school and district. They did a great job preparing me to be in the classroom and evidently my school agrees because I received very high scores on my summative appraisals.
Texas Teachers Certification Program?
I am interested in the summer program that is about to start in June, but I would like to know how much would I be making as an intern before I quit my current job. I am bilingual (Spanish) and I have a Bachelor’s degree. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Since you are running out of time, do your own research. Show some motivation.
Try going to the Texas DOE.
Try calling the school district
I would like to try the texas teachers certification program, is it any good?
I am currently a college student at a community college (HCC) and in one semester I will be a Junior, however I am going to school for a business degree. I was interested in becoming a teacher and I looked up the Texasteachers.org website. I would be dedicated and willing, but I want advice from someone who has experienced it. Is it worth it? Do they really help you find a job? Or is it hard to get hired as a teacher? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you guys in advance!
Texas, like the rest of the country, is a difficult place to find a teaching job. If you are certified (Highly Qualified) in Math or Physics, that will be helpful in finding a job. Do you coach football? That might help.
A to Z teacher stuff has forums for job seekers, some of them specifically about Texas.
Best to you.
Can somebody with an accounting degree that has done a graduate teacher certification program be a teacher?
Also, are there any jobs for accounting teachers? Would I also be able to teach business since an accounting degree also has business classes?
Teaching certificates are state specific so you would need to check with your state Dept. of Ed. You could teach business classes in a high school but accounting is not generally taught in high school. To teach in a Community College, you would need a MA or a MBA.
How do I note that I’m currently enrolled in an Alternative Teacher Certification program on my resume?
How do I note that I’m currently enrolled in an Alternative Teacher Certification program on my resume? How should I format this information. Thanks in advance for the help everybody.
You can consider adding a section on your resume with the heading Professional Development. In this section you would add any continuing education which would include Alternative Teacher Certification. Add the estimated dates for completion.
Best Of Luck
