Getting A Job As A Medical Biller And Coder
The doctors usually hog all the limelight in the medical profession. Doctors, for all the right reasons, are held in high esteem by the patients. However, there are other people who silently work behind the scenes and they too, play critical roles in making our lives smoother. Imagine a situation when you want a cashless transaction at a hospital but are denied because the hospital will be unable to claim the money from the insurance provider.
The Medical billers play a critical role in processing a claim for treatment costs that the hospital has incurred while treating patients. This is a specialized profession that requires special skills. Similarly, medical coders apply codes to all kinds of services that a hospital renders. This facilitates speedy processing of the claims. Hence, getting a job as a medical biller and coder involves learning specialized skills.
Places where Medical Coders work: The difference between the working hours of a medical coder and that of other professions is not much. Medical Coders work regular hours in the organization they are with. Medical Coders can work in hospitals, Doctor’s Offices, outpatient departments, family practices, nursing homes, and group practices.About the author: Silas Reed, Writer for TrainingCrossing writes articles that inform and teach about different training job profiles. “Why before entering negotiations or peace agreements signed ceasefire, the parties in conflict often fight over a fierce battle”
Can narcissism by fixed by formally studying negotiation skills?
I’m guessing that forcing a narcissist into a situation where they have to study the motives and needs of the other person might not cure them but might make them more functional.
Also I wonder if volunteering at soup kitchens, shelters, orphanages etc might not also be an effective accompanying treatment for narcissism, on the presumption that it would foster compassion?
I think we need to determine just how much narcissism we’re dealing with.
If we’re talking about a person with Antisocial Personality Disorder or Narcissistic Personality Disorder… or even Histrionic or Borderline personality disorders… You’re going to have a tough row to hoe to teach any level of compassion or empathy. These people are just not wired the same as you and me. They can learn some of it – if they CHOOSE to – but they will never experience selflessness the way a psychiatrically normal person will.
If we’re talking about people who are just very self absorbed, without an Axis II personality disorder, then it is entirely possible for that person to change to become more socially sensitive and aware.
I think negotiation would be a more effective teaching tool than volunteerism. Working at a soup kitchen exposes you to misery, but it’s all too easy to find some rationalization and avoid learning anything from the experience.
With negotiation, you have incentives, the others have incentives, and the wise negotiator will find ways of creating value for everyone. These are skills that can be taught. I’m not sure that empathy can be taught.
I will introduce a course of negotiation skills .I need all participates to involved and participate?
Do you have any suggestions for activities , games, or related tasks make them more involved during the course?
I would highly suggest first spell checking and grammar checking. Two good role plays are a traditional collective bargaining exercise followed by an issue-based negotiation…the book “Getting to Yes” has a good example of issue-based dispute resolution that can be used to contrast “good” negotiations from traditional negotiations.
what kind of job could i use my negotiation skills in?
i have great negotiation skills, a will to succeed and absolutely no conscience. what is a good field for me to study and eventually enter?
