Delivering a persuasive sales speech is not really as difficult as it seems once you have acquired the techniques to motivate your audience to buy.
People are attending an information presentation because they want to know about the product. You are there to sell your product.Have you created an info product and now arrived at the stage where you need to do the hard work. Yes, that is right, the hard work. Marketing your product. Nothing sells unless you market it.
With that in mind, it is obvious that you are going to have to be able to deliver a persuasive sales speech and capture the attention of your audience.
How do you go about delivering an exceptional sales speech? The success of speaking is the 3 P’s: prepare, prepare, prepare!
Confidence comes with knowledge. Knowledge is power.
You hear this sort of comment during motivational sales speeches, and it is so true. If you are going to be doing sales speaking there is nothing like the knowledge of your product to give you the confidence to sound persuasive.
When giving a motivational sales speech the word F.E.A.R. means False Evidence Appearing Real. Can you visualise this? If there is something that we feel nervous about, we can soon turn ‘nervous’ into ‘fear’ with self talk. By doing the necessary preparation you should be able to more easily talk yourself into a state of confidence.
The first preparation is to know your sales speech topic, and with you being the creator that should not be at all difficult. With this knowledge you then need to create your sales speech outline.
Once you have done this, the next step is to write your speech with all the information necessary and add in examples and stories to highlight certain points that you are trying to emphasize.
When you are writing a speech for sales, you need to be able to awaken the desire in your audience so that they can see the benefit of owning your product. By creating the desire and showing the benefit, you will then create the need, hence the sale.
6 TIPS FOR A PERSUASIVE SALES SPEECH
1. A laughing audience is an audience that is relaxed and tuned in to the speaker. So when you are speech selling, insert humorous stories and one-liners into your content.
2. When you have your audience in your hand tell them 2 or 3 benefits of the product. People want solutions to their problems, and if you can tell them how their problem will be solved, explain the benefits they will get from the info product.
3. Tell them a story about why you wrote the book.
4. Give testimonials of others who have used the product and succeeded.
5. Tell them that it could be a great book for someone else, because they themselves may not want to own it.
6. Always give the audience a great discount.
Show the audience that you care about how much better it will be for them once their problems is solved.

Help needed…… I work in Sales – personal development plan-?
I work in Sales – I am very good at what I do
I have been approached by a senior sales professional wanting to be my mentor.
Whilst I think this is a good idea and have set up a meeting – I honestly believe I am the best at what I do and dont know if I can improve (in my current role) I can of course progress and become senior which I suspect is what he is suggesting; We are to meet to discuss a “development plan” I am unsure as of what to say I “want” help with – cos I think I’m great already……….. I honestly dont mean to sound bigheaded but I topped the board in my sector for past 2 years….. What can I say in the meeting – that will show I want to learn more – with out coming across as a cocky cow!
Ask them to give their opinion there is always room for improvement or you would have the top position already maybe it is your attitude that puts others off do you need more skills in this department good luck show ambition not cocky know it all and your’ll go far
How can I explain leaving my field and working in sales then going back to my field of human services ?
I spent almost a year in sales and found that I’d rather make a difference in the lives of others than depend on others to pay my bills. I wasn’t really good at it but I was determined at least to try because there were more opportunities to make money ( human service is very low paying) . I really needed more money and still do. However, Im not sure if a hr manager will see it that way. My cover letters do show a relationship between my year in sales and continued professional development as in transferable skills. But I am worried that my temporary career change might make me seem unstable. Any ideas?
I would say honesty is the best policy, your first sentence sounds good to me. Just leave out anything that sounds defensive like the rest of what you wrote.
Say simply “I’d rather make a difference in the lives of others”

I am finding that I am particularly bad at first impressions. Dangerously, I think that the inverview went well, but as it turns out, my appearance and demeanor exudes “kindness”, “gentleness” and “a lack of confidence”. Maybe the first two are not bad qualities, but they do not line up well with my professional work experience. My experience has been in sales and relationship management and training. All three of these careers are looking for more aggressive, confident behavior. I am aggressive and confident, but I struggle with the first impression. Does anyone have a suggestion for a public speaking/professional development class that really helped you? I am looking at Dale Carnegie, but I’m not sure i want to sink $2000.00 in to something I don’t know much about. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
You might try Toastmasters. There is probably a chapter in your neighborhood. It is an economical way of getting public speaking experience.
You go through a series of ten speaking projects that force you to focus upon specifc goals. You then have to present your speach assignment in front of your group. You are timed, graded, and critiqued by your peers and by people who have lots of experience. I found it helpful.

sales implies existence of market for the goods and only some efforts are taken to combat competition. marketing implies that the products are new and need introduction. so efforts taken to create awareness about the products and create demand is marketing. business develpment is a wider concept and includes, study of market, rival products, organization of marketing and sales staff.
How can I find sales people to sell an educational product designed for teachers’ professional development?
We have an excellent on line product & service designed to provide primary teachers with ongoing professional development in a key curriculum. We need to find national distributors and/or a sales force to sell this product to school districts.

This being said you might want to present at local colleges and universities, run ads in educational journals, contact chapters of national and state organizations as the NEA, NCTM, NCSS, etc.
