I have recently graduated with a BS in Computer Science w/ an emphasis on software development. I have no professional experience whatsoever. No internships or anything. How can I get my foot in the door when everyone requires 2-3 yrs experience?

Best way is to get out the yellow pages and call businesses in your field and ask if you can fax over your resume and to who’s attention. Make sure the resume is for a specific job and not one of those generalized things that make employers think you have no idea what you want to do. They throw those away. Follow up in a week with the person who you faxed it to.

Minimum Mac requirements for software development?
I’m thinking of getting a Mac for the family. I’d lke to also do some light Java development (netBeans) with it and maybe even toy with Apple’s free tools. What’s the cheapest one I can get by with, or what are the minimun requirements for the various tools? I’m thinking 1GB RAM and any Core 2 processor? Keep in mind this is not for professional development.
Pretty much any Mac that will run Tiger will meet the system requirements for nearly any development tool. 1GB and a Core 2 would certainly be nice to work with, but a G4 with 512MB would work too. That’s plenty for Netbeans as well as Apple’s tools.
If you haven’t done development on a Mac before, it’s definitely worth playing with Xcode and Interface Builder. You’ll probably also want to check out TextMate. Also, online membership for the Apple Developer Connection is free!
What is the best software to use in professional 3D development?

Professional Game Development Software?
I was wondering whether anyone knew what some really good quality game making software is? I want it to be like what professionals use for games such as Fallout 3, Far Cry 2 and Battlefield 2142. If anyone knows any software that is really good and could make a game like that please tell me.

They program their own games typically. Far Cry 2 uses the Crytek engine, which they programmed themselves. Fallout 3 uses the Oblivion engine which Bethesda programmed themselves.
So if you want “Professional Game Development Software”, learn some C++ and get hacking.
