I Am A Positive Affirmation!

Author: Ronnie Nijmeh

Affirmations have been used since the beginning of time. We use affirmations to help us lose weight, get a better paying job, stop smoking, and even be more outgoing in social settings. Positive affirmations help us build self-confidence and self-esteem. We use affirmations to control our fears and anxieties and remind us of how we are making a positive difference in our lives. Positive affirmations can be successfully utilized in all areas to enhance personal growth.

What is an Affirmation?

An affirmation is a statement that you repeat to yourself constantly. People use affirmations constantly without realizing what they are doing.

For example: you walk on the treadmill in the early morning, jump in the shower afterwards and then head to work when you are finished. On the drive in you think: “I feel awesome!” That is a positive affirmation. You drag yourself out of bed, take your shower and then head to work when you are finished. On the drive to work, you may think: “I feel lousy!” Obviously, that’s a negative affirmation. Both statements contribute to the emotional state you are in. So why not choose to be positive? You’ll feel better and perform better!

When we talk to ourselves, the things we say are very important because they have direct influence on our conscious and subconscious mind. We listen to everything we say to ourselves whether it is audible, or it comes from our subconscious mind. Positive affirmations are essential in maintaining a healthy flow of positive thoughts into our minds. We can use them to transform the negative affirmations of our past into positive affirmations that will move us forward to the goals we wish to obtain in our lives. It takes diligence in the beginning to change how we think, but the results will be worth the effort.

It is important to always make sure that the positive affirmations you choose are personal in many aspects. You will want to always state them in the first person and in the present tense, for example “I am healthy and slim, and I only eat when I am hungry.” You have made it personal, and in the words that you would use in normal conversation. Plus you’re not talking about “theoreticals,” you are talking about the here-and-now. If you make the positive affirmations too complicated or wordy, you will have a hard time remembering them and soon get discouraged and give up.

When you actually state the positive affirmation out loud, you need to state it with enthusiasm and feeling. “I am an awesome team player,” or “I am a valuable asset to my company!” And to make sure that the affirmations take hold you need to continue reciting them daily for an extended period of time until they become a natural part of your thought patterns.

A list of positive affirmations to help you achieve your goal for inner harmony is below:

• I choose to balance my work schedule well.
• I sleep peacefully each night.
• I encourage and praise my kids each day.
• I brighten my day by smiling at others.
• I am a good listener for my friends.
• I enjoy the wonderful home that I have created for my family.
• I am a beautiful person inside and out.

how does optimism differ from repeating positive affirmation?

    • Anonymous says:

Optimism is a positive outlook on the world and life. Positive affirmations are “positive sentences that describe a desired situation, and which are repeated many times, in order to impress the subconscious mind and trigger it into positive action”. So optimism is a positive outlook whereas positive affirmation is trying to induce optimism.

Do u have any positive affirmation to attract money?

Tell always truth and believe in reality. If you are presenting something or selling your products into the market, you should always be honest and well informed with quality of the products being sold to the customer. Eventually the customers will be attracted, this is because of your actual and precise presentation of the products instead to cheat or hide something you are giving them a perfect and accurate information and that will be a positive affirmation. You will be responded well and such business attitude will attract money. May be at first instance it will be less but if you leave a good impression and customer goes convince with the potentiality of your products they will ask about you or will look to you. This will be a positive impact which imprinted into the mind of customers for your good business thoughts, selling ability and communication skills that’s dominated. This all happened because of positive affirmation which caused to attract money.

What is the best way to use positive affirmation?
My friend recently introduced me to this. It sounds like it could help a lot. But I have some questions that I couldn’t really find an answer to. Is there a certain number of affirmations that’s ideal to work with at one time? Is there a point where you’re working with too many? Also is it best to keep them the same or change them up every so often?

An attitude of gratitude will magically frame your affirmations for successful results.

I magically frame my affirmations with: “I accept and enjoy … xyz … and everything has helped this to happen”

Emile Coué first used the affirmations.. “Day by Day in Every Way” and “Every Day in Many Ways”… , successfully in the 1920’s.

Affirmations, or as I prefer to call them, Verbal Remedies work by engaging a process of creative visualization. The way to write and recite your own precision affirmations is to make your statements: Positive, Present, Personal and Specific. Here are some more useful resources for getting your mind around your own verbal remedies: http://www.psychic-junkie.com/verbal-remedies.html
The meditative state, known as the alpha state of mind, empowers your affirmations and visualizations. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/alpha-state-of-mind.html

And here is a neat bit of free kit! Motivator is a piece of free software that helps remind you of your goals. It works by unobtrusively displaying affirmation messages on your computer screen at set intervals. These messages help to regularly reinforce your goals – and provide much needed motivation for achievement that you otherwise wouldn’t receive. http://www.motivator.ws/?afl=13351

Can I create a positive affirmation mp3 /Tape for myself?
I want to know if it is possible to create a positive affirmation recording for myself. If so, how do I create it? For the background music, can I use ambient music such as cool waves and how long should the recording be?
