Medicare Changes Coming for 2011 / Practice Manager Life

There are several changes in Medicare, which are required by the Healthcare Reform Bill, which took effect on January 1, 2011. These changes largely affect the amount paid by Medicare for Medicare participants for drugs and doctors’ services. Here is a brief recap of the changes which occurred on January 1, 2011

Medicare / physician-trends / healthcare networks of america

1) Free annual wellness check-up for all Medicare Part B participants. Previously, Medicare Part B participants were allowed the wellness check-up only on enrollment and this exam is subject to deductible regulations.

2) No ‘out-of-pocket’ expenses for specified preventative exams for Medicare Part B participants.

3) Closing of the ‘donut hole’ medication gap. Requires manufacturers of brand name drugs to reduce the cost of covered drugs by 50% in 2011, increasing the deduction to 75% by 2020. Generic drug cost will be reduced in the Medicare Part D drug coverage from 7% in 2011 to 75% by 2020.

4) There will be premium surcharges for wealthy Medicare Part D participants, which will be gradually increased over the next few years.

5) The limit on income, on which participants pay a surcharge for Part B (and Part D in 2012), will not be indexed to inflation through 2019. As incomes rise due to inflation, more seniors will be subject to the surcharge.

What do these changes mean to the doctor providing services for Medicare Recipients?

The change to an annual check-up paid for by Medicare, will allow the doctor to catch some health problems earlier, and provide treatment earlier, hopefully to decrease overall cost of the treatment. Your office should make sure that all of your Medicare Part B patients take advantage of this new provision.

what is better for your credit file going on a debt management plan i changed my mind the last time i asked?
or having the card companies do a reschedule and pay an amount for 3 months and then clear and start paying again as i am not sure what this means any advice as i know debt management isnt good for your file and credit score
what does rescheduling the debt mean

Working with the CC company is the BEST way to go. You can explain to them the hardship directly, and they are more likely to work with you, than being slapped in the face with the info from a credit counseling company or bankruptcy.

A caveat here….. those debt mgt companies are RIPOFFS, and most of them are under investigation by the Federal Govt… I’d avoid them were I you…

EDIT_— rescheduling the debt means they are restructuring when and how much you pay each month…

A waste of taxpayers money, a waste of training, a waste of police time. What is the value of the training when the skills cannot be implemented due to the inefficiencies and mismanagement in the government workforce? Accept the fact that change is not good for T&T and continue on the path to self destruction.First they must take the animal out of them and teach them to human beings, so they can interact with society in a human way. This is crap Who needs the training the most? Courses for business management and alternative farming/agriculture?
I have just realised I am on the wrong path in life, and am planning to change course. I want to become a business management consultant, specialising in agriculture, along the way learning of alternative farmer, and energy. I have a background of both business and agriculture, however have spent the last few years doing neither! Could anyone suggest some good courses to help me along the way, and if possible any useful funding methods! Any help would be hugely greatly received.

Are “change management” and “performance management” promoted by morons for morons?
    Is performance management useful ?
Problem solving normally involves looking beyond the most obvious solutions.

It’s hard to see how performance management could deliver any value.

A person might have predetermined plans for integrating a system.

However the system might already possess good demonstration programs showing that all the functionality works.

Performance management would discourage any attention to such extra “goodies”.

Performance management eems to be designed by morons for morons.

Performance management would be beloved by the workplace psychopath who would then be kept informed of what the performance management is supposedly achieving, the workplace psychopath being able to then appear knowledgeable and pretend to be contributing

The workplace psychopath is an object of pity for the most part.

Change, depends on one’s philosophy. Some resist it. Some welcome it. And some don’t care either way. Just as a person will manage change in their life (or not manage change) the process can be applied to business.

Feeling superior (others are morons) is generally easily disputed. After all, if we are the superior one’s wouldn’t our coping skills be superior to the morons that we must deal with? Alas, this never seems to be the case. It is usually the one who finds others to be lacking in intelligence who suffers the most emotionally.

  5. RFP searcher says:

Where can you find for profit RFPs (as there are many sites that list government ones & other non profits)?
Seeking RFPs in the areas of: strategic planning, change management, leadership and team development, customer focus, etc.
