Personal Loans – Secured Loans for Maximum Benefits
Author: Angelo Drew
Personal loans are the only loans that touch most lives, as they provide credit assistance for a wide range of the personal needs – for varied business requirements; to recover from a bad credit situation; for education and career development objectives; to renovate the home; for medical and beauty treatments; to consolidate multiple debts; for new or used car purchase; to cover vacation and holiday season expenses; and for endless wedding expenses.
Industry report reveals that preference for secured loans is on a rise in the UK financial market – even for small monetary requirements – as they are much cheaper than other credit options like unsecured loans and payment cards (credit cards, store cards, charge cards and overdrafts). Borrowers are gradually realising that unsecured debts prove to be more costly because they have high interest rates, and that secured debts are the most cost-effective way to thrash financial problems.Secured personal loans, as the name suggests, can only be availed by those loan seekers who are willing to pledge an asset (like home) as collateral against the loan amount. Collateral protects the lender’s investment, and thus makes it easy for him to part with his money and facilitate the loan seeker with favourable loan terms and conditions like:
Quick attention – as secured deals are safe for the lenders
High credit limit – typical range is £5,000 and £250,000
Competitive low APR – typical range is 6.7% to 19.9%
Variety of rate plans – fixed, variable, discounted, capped and flexible
Different repayment methods – capital, interest only, and partly interest and partly capital
Negotiable loan terms and conditions – deferred payment up to 6 months, repayment holiday and accelerated repayment
Please note: Irrespective of the reasons, repeated defaults or non-payment can lead to repossession of the pledged collateral to recover the loaned amount. But, the borrower can easily take care of the risks by paying his EMI’s (Equal Monthly Instalments = Principle + Interest) as decided, and by choosing a suitable repayment plan on the basis of his payback capacity and future plans.
Ideal for big monetary requirements, secured type of personal loans are the best option for adverse credit holders and probably the only alternative for people who have been denied unsecured credit.

Can anyone give me some ideas for personal objectives i can set myself at work?
I work for a bank and every month we have reviews and we have to have an active personal development plan in place.
I’ve worked there for so long that im really struggling for ideas this year!!!
I would recommend that you get the book the One Page Business plan. http://www.TheResourceQueen.com/favorites/businessplans.html
If you’d like to listen to an audio on the book, then go to http://www.BusinessAndMarketingPlan.com click on the link on the bottom of the page, then I think on the next page, you can subscribe to the audio.
Does this sound like a good objective to use for my resume?
Objective:Professional banker interested in a challenging position which offers the opportunity to demonstrate and utilize my proven skills, while acquiring further knowledge and experience in order to produce enhance the overall growth of my company and in turn my personal development
Jerry M: it was just an error. Consider the word “produce” deleted. It is noted however I said “Professional banker” so I don;t think its vague.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
Most banking institutions have their HR personnel screen all resumes before handing them to a manager. Your objective, while good, is too long for an HR person to read. Consider shortening the objective to this:
Objective:Professional banker interested in a challenging position to enhance company growth and development.
Another suggestion is to omit the “my company” line, som HR personnel consider personafication in a resume a sign of a person who can’t work in a team “there is no I in team”.
Good luck with your job search.
As an Executive Assistant, what are my priorities & objectives, and how to improve my personal developments?
Hi Ann,
From my view, there are 3 ways to serve a company.
* write copy
* provide marketing consultancy, and
* provide organizational/procedural consultancy
That third is ‘project management’ (in board market terms).
As an Executive Assistant you probably don’t deal too much (directly) with copywriting or marketing, which means project management is likely how you might best serve the company.
Which is good for you because project management is a high value / big market place.
If I were you, I wouldn’t waste my time getting a silly piece of paper that says, “Hey, I’m certified”. I’d simply upgrade my organizational skills to meet the requirements, as per the demands of the job.
I highly recommend two places for getting organizational skills:
#1: http://www.organizedlivingworld.com
#2: http://www.web3Efficiency.com
The second site is more for personal productivity where as the first site will probably give you the most benefit in terms of getting organized and being successful in the corporate world. You’d probably do well to subscribe to the RSS feeds for both.
I expect this might help you in some aspect Ann.
Highest Regards
Shell vs Nestle: Which would be the better choice to kick-start a career?
I am contemplating between both job offers as both seems to have excellent remuneration packages. Both Shell and Nestle also present various opportunities for excellence and personal self-development which is my career objective.
I work for Nestle (the water division, Nestle Waters, to be specific) and it’s truly an amazing company. The company is incredibly well-run, and they always keep the employees’ best interest in mind.
Did you know that Nestle is the largest food and beverage company in the world? Talk about job security! That keeps me feeling comfortable in these days of economic turmoil.
I’ve never worked for Shell, but I can tell you that I cannot imagine a company being better run than Nestle.
