How far is musical education vital to personal development?
Who has the answer….?
Music helps to heal a great many things within ourselves. Its like the lit candle of awareness in an otherwise dark conciousness.Something that some cling to because its their only friend or their piece of hope left to them. For some its a desire and for others its a passion. And for many many its a strength unto itself it does what other things can not such as evoke memories, create moments, and unify a great many all at once.
When a woman is pregnant they tell her to play music or even sing to the unborn baby. Not just so the baby will recognize her voice but also to stimulate the baby. They say playing music to an unborn baby helps them mentally develope and grow. When my daughter was in my belly we did in fact play her classical music and she had her favorites she would roll inside of me and kick me and some music would put her right to sleep. It was a stimuli for her the lit candle of awareness in an otherwise dark conciousness.
Some say it isn’t vital but could you imagine a world without music?Could you imagine a world where people didn’t further their knowledge of music or pushed themselves to go deeper into their own music?I certainly couldn’t and I don’t think those who have a true gift given to them such as instruments or words that create the flow of songs or even those who just hear the music itself or those who were born to sing.
I think its vital to all of us.And especially those who truly feel the passion to learn more for those gifted enough to be more.I think its vital to ALL personal development but we are individuals and the choice to know more is singularly ours…
Just My Thoughts,

Discuss the payoff of education in relation to personal development, effective citizenry, and upward mobility.
The personal development one gains from higher education levels is the increased ability to think critically about issues, which assists in problem solving skills, decision making skills, and enhances capacity for knowledge of how and why things are the way they are. Effective citizenry accompanies the skills gained from personal development, enabling one to have a better understanding of worldviews. The greater the ability to think critically and utilize working knowledge, the more effective they will be as a citizen and they will be more likely to be an active participant as a citizen. There’s a positive correlation between education level and income. Higher educated people have the knowledge, training, and skills to attain higher paying positions with higher job security. Income levels are the driving force to gain resources toward upward mobility.
Is high school education enough for one’s personal intellectual development?
If you didn’t go to college, did you cease to grow intellectually and what kind of work do you do?
Depends on the person.
College costs money so you can not fault people for not going.
Passionate about personal growth and development—Looking for higher education opportunities or jobs?
I’m 22 years old and about to graduate college from Santa Clara University in the Bay Area. I’m incredibly interested in personal growth/development, social dynamics, etc. Does anyone know of any higher education opportunities or possibly career paths down this avenue? Any schools or teaching opportunities? (Psychology isn’t much of an interest unless someone knows a specific type of psychology that would be particularly useful for this) Thank you so very much for your help as I’m trying to pursue something that I love.
For what you say you want to do psychology would be the perfect career choice. There are many ways that working in the psychological field would help you to achieve these objectives. What do you think psychology is about if it isn’t to help people with their personal and social growth?? That’s what people go to therapist for to help with their own personal development and to learn how to get along better with the wider world around them. You should talk to some of the therapist in your school and some one one the staff in the psych department to see what they’ve been able to do with their lives. That would help you. But you would get better responses if you posted this in another area. This area if for parents and students who have learning disabilities.
