What type of consequences does a s-corp. face when it fails? More so what do the owners face in this situation
I entered a partnership about 8 months ago. My partner reassured me that the company was solid. It didnt take me long to realize that that certainly wasn’t the case. Eight months later we are in what seems to be a very bad situation. The money that we make is only enough to pay our employees and very little bills. Furthermore, my partner regularly takes money from the company for his personal needs. Granted, we have not been able to draw a paycheck for about a month. I have dumped in about 40 thousand dollars of my own money and have put my credit on the line and to help this company survive. Now, I am at a point that I have to start looking at options that will get me out of this situation. I have worked with the Small Business Development Center to try and push this forward with their help, but I am out of time. I would appreciate any help on this.
Are you a partnership or a s-corp? There is a big difference in the procedures between these two entities. If it is s-corp-are you a registered owner-is your name in the incorporation papers? Technically a s-copr can be dissolved in two ways: voluntarily and involuntarily. Voluntarily is when ALL of the owners agree do dissolve the entity. All assets get cashed in and all the outstanding bills of the cops have to be paid. Then, if anything is left, gets split between the owners in proportion of their ownership percentage, which is in the incorporation papers. If your name is not included there- then there is nothing you can do about it at all, without the permission of the other shareholder. My advice-consult an attorney.
Will business property development cause personal property value to go up built within a few blocks of it?
Since I purchased my new home 4 years ago, within 1/2 mile there has been a new movie theather, restaurants, and a new chain furniture store built. Also rght across the street have just buit 4 new houses and they are now for sale. Will this activity affect my home property value in any way? Of note, within the city they are also builing a new town center outdoor mall and condos with a 1 million price tag per unit attached (within 3 miles of me).
Generally the type of development you are describing is good for your property values, because it puts services and activities that residents like to have conveniently near (shopping, dining, movies, etc).
The houses all for sale might temporarily diminish the value of your home, because if too many properties are for sale then there is little demand. However, having more homes around is rarely bad from a valuation standpoint and should be good long term.
The type of development that would be detrimental would be things that would cause problems – like industrial businesses with loud machinery noises or odors, or businesses that have piles of waste or other eyesores. Another problem would be houses built of a type and style that do not fit the style and character of the neighborhood. For instance if all the older homes are brick, but the new homes are cheap stucco.

Should i stay in high school or go to a Alternative Education Work Center (AEWC) program?
the reason is because iam missing credits
for those who don’t know what is a aewc program is
AEWC is an independent study program that provides students with an alternative way to earn a high school diploma. Students are assigned courses and coursework based on transcript evaluation and demonstrated competencies. Students are responsible for meeting with teachers and completing required course work. Students complete the majority of their coursework independently and have access to the AEWC study centers when they need assistance. Work is submitted to the teacher as scheduled. Students must make adequate academic progress to remain in the program.
