Leadership Development

Author: Elle Wood

Leadership development is something that many people have heard of and many of them know that it is a vital element into attaining success. Haven’t you already heard about LeadershipIQ? Well if you didn’t, I have to give it straight to you and conclude that you’ve been living under a rock up until now. They provide exquisite employee surveys, unique leadership training and amazing best practices research that will leave you in awe. They mainly focus their efforts on negotiations, management/executive performance, strategic planning, and work force problems and of course, customer service. Why is it different from other companies alike? Well why won’t you ask the people who have already contracted their services? Have you seen their webpage? Then I guess you don’t know yet that IBM, Microsoft, Astra Zeneca and the Harvard Business School, to name a few, have been doing business with these guys for quite some time now. That certainly clarifies the quality of their services and if clients like Microsoft and IBM were satisfied, then who else wouldn’t be?

Generally employee surveys lack those questions that can really make the difference between a good pick or a fail when a company addresses its interest towards an applicant. That’s why most companies have had the other side of the coin when it comes to hiring employers. They just do not know what happened and why the certain employee did not act as the paper stated. What paper? That old survey that hasn’t been changed for years and people have learned them like the back of their hands, being able to write them even in their sleep. This is where LeadershipIQ comes in. Their new ground breaking surveys will not only be far superior in terms of content, but their questions will reach certain dimensions of the human psychology that the old models lacked, and thus they weren’t providing that insight every company wants to have about their employee.

This amazing program is called the “Hundred-Percenter Index”. It basically is the steering wheel offering the companies using it the landscape of directions they must push their employers in so that they achieve maximum potential and thus optimal productivity.

With LeadershipIQ’s new discovery on how to get 100% potential out of your employees, things will never be the same again for your company. If you were just cornered by the problem of productivity too many times after you tried and conducted every possible project designed to improve it, then open your eyes one last time, for LeadershipIQ’s latest advances is everything you will need to see. In just a few months you will be amazed of the massive change your business has undergone through because of the proper leadership development and only then you will truly realize why LeadershipIQ’s methods are being referred to as “revolutionary”.

Where is the leadership that will act to improve the quality of our country? (Please answer.)?
Where is the leadership that will act to improve the quality of our country? Where is the construction and development of the new World Trade Center buildings? Where is the construction and development that will revitalize New Orleans? Where is the response to economic trends that will revive the power of the US Dollar? Where? I ask. Where? Where is it? How long does it take for this government to act? Unresponsive? Let your voice be heard. Ask your government to start doing something, anything to improve the quality of this country rather than pretending that we are the leaders of this and that and the other. Sure, this is a great country but the government that leads us needs to start taking some courses on leadership and start taking some action that actually produces something, anything – other than squalor.

Our nation is entirely too big for enough people to agree upon one person’s opinion. In order to gain any kind of political power you need the majority of voters to get behind your idea. In order to do that, you need to water down your real ideas and go toward the mainstream so that you gain enough support to be put in a position where you can make a difference. Once you make these mainstream ideas know when you’re running for office, you need money. Large companies and P.A.C.’s contribute to your campaign. When you get $1million from a certain group of people to aid your campaign you have a certain obligation to these people. And then your ideas are out the window. To gain office you need money, to get money you must sell out. Once you’re sold out you do what the highest bidder say you should do. That’s why there are no great ideas, the old boys run this whole thing which is why it’s totally ruined.

Is this email about OCS legit? What do they mean by you have a choice? Are you signing up or not? Thanks!?
“The best management training program in America”
    Inc. Magazine

This is a communication to the student body on behalf of Captain (I deleted name), the Marine Corps Officer Selection Officer for New Jersey. If you are an American citizen, a full-time student, and medically & physically fit, then you may have the opportunity to lead the nation’s most elite fighting force.

Qualified applicants attend Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia. OCS is one of the best leadership development courses in the country; its challenges will develop you mentally and physically. Freshmen and sophomores attend two separate six-week summer courses. Juniors, seniors and college graduates attend a single 10-week course.

Some of the key highlights of the programs are:

    PAID SUMMER TRAINING:

    - Earn approximately $2,700.00 for each six weeks or $4,500.00 for the ten-week session.

    EARN COLLEGE CREDITS:

    - Receive up to 12 credits for OCS participation.

    GUARANTEED contracts available:

    - AVIATION

If you have a desire to FLY, you can secure a seat in flight school before OCS even starts.

    - GROUND

If you want to keep your feet on the GROUND, there are 21 different management fields you may be interested in.

    - LAWYER

If you are planning on going to LAW SCHOOL, our program can assist.

    NOT ROTC:

    - There are no demanding requirements during the school year – complete all training during the summer.

    - You do not have to wear uniforms to class.

    - This program allows you to focus on your school work, athletics, and enjoying college.

    - The initial commitment is ONLY six weeks, with no long-term obligation.

    - Financial assistance is available. Marine lieutenants receive starting salaries of $40,000-49,000 a year plus incredible benefits

    - You have the CHOICE to become a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps upon completion of OCS and graduation from college.

Learn. Grow. Lead. You will be given levels of responsibility and authority that far exceed those seen at entry-level positions in corporate America. This is an unparalleled opportunity to see if you have what it takes to be a leader in one of the most elite organizations in the world without committing yourself to service. If you are interested in someday working for the FBI, CIA, Military, government, or as an executive in a Fortune 500 company, the PLC program may be right for you. Yes, it’s legit.

By saying you have a choice, it means that you go through the training before you make a committment, and upon graduation you would become an officer in the Marine Corps.

Do I still have to go through LDAC in order to join Nurse Corps?
I’m 28 and thinking of joining Nurse Corps after graduation.I already know that I must pass the APFT. Is the Leadership Development and Assessment Course just for cadets or must all nurses inquiring to join go through this course?

    • Anonymous says:

Yes you must attend the course.

That’s your basic training where they will turn you into a service person

Nurses are commissioned as 2nd Lt’s

Not as 1st Lt or Captains..

what college course taken as a HS student would look best to colleges:human biology, precal, psychology,?
youth leadership and development, or public speaking?

what will be more important to colleges to look at?

    • Anonymous says:

I would take whatever they offer in AP
AP vs. Honors vs. Regular is more important than the subject itself
If they’re all of equal level take what you’re most interested in (although I would suggest taking math DEFINITELY and then picking what you’re most interested in out of the others)

  5. Picka C says:

which course is looks better to colleges: public speaking in high school or youth leadership and development?
