Increasing Self Confidence – Reasons Why You Will Never Achieve This
Self confidence, by definition, is an utmost belief in one’s ability to succeed. This belief can make one successful in all aspects of life including personal, working and social life. It can boost one’s ego to an extent where one believes he/she can do anything and succeed from it, making you an unstoppable force upon yourself and the people around you. How to tap into this hidden resource? Is it available to everybody? Yes, believe it or not, you don’t have to be ‘born with it’, this resource is available to everybody and the top three secrets of tapping them are given below;
1)PRETEND YOU RULE THE WORLD
By improving your posture i.e. walking straight, with your head up, you can believe that you rule the world. This will increase your self confidence. When speaking to people, make plenty of eye to eye contact and smile frequently. Also talk clearly and concisely, with self confident body language. Eventually, with enough practice, your mind will reflect the confident body language. Many people make the mistake of feeling inferior to others i.e. with a conscious mindset that others are better or more qualified than you and therefore you are automatically putting yourself in a defensive position. But remember, although, it is good to walk and talk with feelings of superiority, this can be taken too far, in which case you’ll come across as a jerk. On a first encounter, sometimes you only have one chance to make an impression, make sure you make it count!
Having too much spare time for self pity can cause low self esteem and reduce your self confidence. Use this energy instead for achieving more positive things. It doesn’t have to be ironing, cooking and cleaning activities. But can include fun and entertaining activities such as going to the cinema, ten pin bowling, and playing computer games. Or better still, your energy can be used to focus on the needs of other people. By contributing your skills and energy to them, you won’t worry so much about your own flaws and learn to be thankful for the things that you have. Contributing to others is a great way to increase your feelings of self worth because of the positive results that it brings.
3)FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF
Write a list of all the good things you have done and the positive aspects about you and the people around you. Wake up feeling good about yourself, you have a job, you have a good partner, you have children or even because the sun is shining. Dance to your favourite song and sing out loud in the shower. Read your list frequently to remind yourself of how wonderful and lucky you are. See the world in a whole new light and don’t let problems get you down, believe that you know can do anything!!!
Self confidence can be incorporated gradually into your life and will become a natural part of you. You will no longer be wary about encountering different situations or meeting new people. You will find that people will be attracted to you because of the magnetism associated with your self confidence and you are sure to succeed in anything that you do.

What are some of the best tips for increasing self-confidence?
What are some of the best tips for increasing self-confidence? Also, best ways to fight low self-esteem?
By knowing yourself, your abilities and limitations, you can look at yourself realistically. People with low self-confidence think of themselves as having poor ability to be successful at what they attempt (this is called low self-efficacy). The more things you try that are realistic, the more you will be able to gauge your abilities and see yourself in a realistic light. The more you avoid attempting, the more your negative predictions about your inabilities come into play. The better you see yourself and have increased self-efficacy, the higher will be your self-esteem. Lastly, when you learn to get your esteem from yourself instead of from others, the more you will have and the happier you will be.
