When the Going Gets Tough… Self Motivation
Self motivation literally means enthusiasm or drive. It is the driving force that keeps people to push through even when the going gets tough sometimes. The root of self motivation is desire. It is the desire that drives you to value things and to identify what’s relevant or irrelevant.
You can see the good results of self motivation from people who are already successful in their life. Moreover, people who are poorly motivated are those who suffer from the so-called inferiority complex. People who suffer from inferiority complex are those who are not confident of themselves.
According to psychologists, you have different kinds of desires. And all these desires are attributable to your desire to stay alive. In essence, self motivation is more involved with a man’s emotions. It implies a positive feeling that keeps people from doing things. These people who are highly motivated are described as enthusiastic individuals. They are optimistic – they don’t give up easily in reaching for their goals. In layman’s terms, self motivation pertains to determination. But if you would delve deeper into the actual meaning of self motivation, it’s beyond that. self motivation can be understood completely when you study the different factors that affect it. Hence, this brings you down to the study of the various kinds of self motivation theories.

How an awareness of learning style can aid personal development?
You can give some ideas for this question.
This has something to do with your conduct in the public and how you adapt the changes in your sorrounding.Basically,if you’re aware about your actions and how it affects them and If you know how to conform the norms in the society, that can aid to personal development. Specifically,if you want to be somebody for example ,you must be a keen observer. You must look how he/she brings him/herself at the very best.Dont be a copycat. Before you do/say something, think first and imagine what would be the reaction of people if they see you do something like. With that, you can conclude what’s good and what’s not.Apart from that, always think positive. Being optimistic makes you feel happy and determine in every thing you do. Learning is a never ending process. You tend to realize from your mistakes and internalize that for every mistakes you commit, there’s always a room for improvement.Personal development is likely link to self confidence also. You may find it hard if you keep thinking negative about yourself. If you focus on that bad side of yours, then other personal aspects might be affected too.The people around you, will respond to what you act.You are the stimulant of the event.Don’t let it destroy all your other beautiful qualities, instead learn to accept it.Confidence is always the key but don’t forget to set limit.Just be patient.Basically, it takes time for somebody to adapt the changes but once you’re used with it, you might find yourself at ease.Just don’t make things complicated if you don’t want problem.Minor issues become bigger issues if you focus too much on it.If that small issue isn’t of BIG importance, then get rid of it.However,if you find yourself insatiable, then find a place where you can shout every thing that’s on your mind.Thats a great way to alleviate your worries.Always think good of yourself,in that way you always feeling good in everything you do.Try it.It works….:-)
I recommend you to read the book “Unleash your Full Potential by James Rick” http://www.fullpotential.com/about-james .I was once looking for a self help book when somebody online recommended me to read his writings.I say,I never got bored reading the book.
The purpose of the Full Potential Philosophy is for living life at your best: physically, mentally, spiritually, socially and financially. It teaches you the things you need to enhance I mean the areas you need to develop and how you can be productive. We need to have deep understanding about ourselves before we get our full potential.Life is temporary. Your existence – at least on Earth, has a beginning and an end. This fact urges you to be efficient about how you use time. And that what leads you to be productive.
Does anyone have any ideas for gifts for kids that include some personal development material?Books, games, etc?
Every year we like to give our boys (who are 12 and 15)something for Christmas that’s educational and promoting personal development along with the toys and other stuff so they can learn and grow. Does anyone have some good ideas?
I don’t intend for the fallowing to sound like the focus is on money. Jim Rohn is a powerful author and has many ideas that pertain to life outside of money. Money should come after success and personal development anyway.
Jim Rohn covers the three places to begin for any teenager (or adult) in their quest for a future full of success, happiness and wealth.
1. Price and promise – the power of vision and setting goals.
2. Personal development – expanding your knowledge through books, tapes, seminars and other successful people.
3. The principles of wealth – earning, saving, giving and investing.
Over the years, Jim Rohn has heard from thousands of people – many who saw or heard Jim early in their life who later went on to achieve success. Don’t let yourself or your family miss out on this powerful 56 minute video that can inspire, teach and lead you to success.

Secretarial Aims and Objectives for Personal Development Review?
Ideas for writing a paragraph on secretarial aims and objectives for Personal Development Review?
I doubt if anyone but yourself is qualified to answer what your aims and objectives would be.
Sorry, but I really cannot see you getting much help here as these reviews are very personal and only yourself – or a very, very close friend – may have the slightest idea of what you need.
For instance, I might say that I aim to minimise the typing / spelling / punctuation errors occurring in documents. However, you might think that aim of no help as you have a very low error rate as a matter of course. On the other hand you might say that you aim to reduce the stationary expenditure by reducing your paper usage but that aim would be of no use to someone like me who naturally reuses paper and equipment (eg. refills for pens etc.) as standard.
You might wish for a course on dealing with stress whilst your manager thinks you would benefit from a course on time management but both of you may agree that an objective could be a course on self esteem and assertiveness.
The only thing I can suggest is looking up some qualities for virtual assistants (since you said it was secretarial) ~ this might give you some ideas of what to aim for. Also check out personal development courses ~ the objective being to help you improve yourself, your working relationships, telephone manner, whatever you think would help you to develop or your role in the workplace to usefully diversify.

Btw the course I’m applying for is BA (HONS) FINE ART
And this is what a section of the email read>>>
We are currently in the process of considering your application for the above course. I am therefore pleased to be able to tell you that it has now reached the stage where we would like to see some of your work. 12 Examples of Practical Work A short written summary (500 words maximum) of the work you are submitting and/or the project briefs involved. Please see attached document which gives further information and guidance on the work required . We may use this to help us decide whether to shortlist you for the next state or it may help us make our final decision
And in this is pretty much what the attached document said>>
Within work submissions the main things we are looking for are:

• Good presentation and the ability to visualise ideas
• Your ability to handle a variety of technologies, materials and processes
• Your willingness to experiment in a range of visual media

12 examples of practical work
Please send these to us within a Powerpoint presentation, to include a variety of work covering areas
such as:

• Research sheets/idea development sheets
• Personally orientated work in progress
• Finished project work; this could include documentation of time based practices
Plus:
A short written summary (500 words maximum) of the work you are submitting and/or the project
briefs involved.
Please try to present the work so that the samples, descriptions and written work are kept together and are
easily accessed by the viewer.
Thanks.
Send 12 examples of your work via power point.
Send 500 words summary of that work.
So you need to scan or photograph your work – ask your tutor for advice on chosing the best pieces.
Good luck.
Edit: Some of this is a test to see how well you cope with the task and present it in the way they ask. For sure you’ll need the skills to do all the things they’ve listed, and this is a fairly simple task. Stay calm, and read through each section a few times so you’re clear about what they want. Then work through it bit by bit.
Can anyone give me some ideas for personal objectives i can set myself at work?
I work for a bank and every month we have reviews and we have to have an active personal development plan in place.
I’ve worked there for so long that im really struggling for ideas this year!!!
I would recommend that you get the book the One Page Business plan. http://www.TheResourceQueen.com/favorites/businessplans.html
If you’d like to listen to an audio on the book, then go to http://www.BusinessAndMarketingPlan.com click on the link on the bottom of the page, then I think on the next page, you can subscribe to the audio.
