I have bad credit and want to apply for a career development loan to fund vocational course fees?
I have really bad credit – lots of defaults. Am 28 unemployed on benefit; and already have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree. I have finally found my dream course (vocational 1 year full time). I really want to do it but can’t figure out how to pay for it. Given my bad credit / unemployment status..do i have any chance of securing a career development loan? thanks every1!!
If the course code ends in a “V” then you should be able to get the course for free as it’s vocational and you are unemployed, but the best thing to do would be go and ask your job centre for an interview and tell them why, they should be able to help.
your bad credit should not matter, unless you owe money to the student loan people and it would only matter if you were asking them for any money.

Career Development Courses for Air Force Reservists?
Hello,
Currently I’m in Air Force technical training for integrated avionics. I was just wondering how long after tech school does it take to complete CDC’s for reservists typically. My instructor and many other NCO’s around here are all active duty and can’t seem to answer my question as far as it goes for a reservist. I’ve heard a good six months if you work hard at them, but even this is looked down upon. Why I ask is that I would like to return to college as soon as I can. Can anyone clarify?

It should take you about 6 months to complete them. One volume per month. But Reserves are same as active duty, and you have up to 15 months to complete your 5 level.
You can return to college as soon as you graduate tech school. Your reserve unit, unlike active duty, won’t keep you from college because of your CDCs.
Is it worth taking a career development course in college as a freshman?
I’m deciding on whether or not I should take a 2 credit hour career development course in college. It does count towards my GPA, but I’m not sure if I should take such a course if I will only learn useless things. On the other hand, the course may open my eye up to some possible courses of study or majors, but it may just give me information I already know.
